Beware of Internet Scams…There is an internet scam that is using the names of priests and church employees asking the receiver to send money or gift cards to help someone in need. This has been reported to the Archdiocese and unfortunately it is happening to a number of churches in the Archdiocese. A Priest, or Staff members, of a church would not ask anyone to send money or gift cards through an email, Facebook, or any form of social media. Delete any messages and pray for the conversion of the perpetrator.

As a reminder, never give any personal information or account numbers to anyone who contacts you via email, any form of social media, or by phone. Always call the company directly with a number from your official statement or bill. If you are still unsure, call your local Police Department and they will verify if it is a scam.
